Ok so I am trying to flash marlin using the hex file.
I have AVRDUDESS, by am getting a non sync error.
I am thinking this is due to having the wrong atmega board selected.
What is the correct setting.....and any others I may have missed.....

ok switched from google to bing and got my answers, or at least a work around.....
changed to a different program and worked like a charm

You can try to update the HEX firmware in the Setting-printer-manger printer
in CURA.
