Attaching the super plate to new printer

Post by papa3110 » Thu Jul 18, 2019 3:51 am

I just received my new A10 printer and the super plate came not attached. The kit has some large pare clips that were not on ant list.
Should I glue the super plate down and if so with an epoxy ?

This never got answered, but my A10 came out of the box without the super plate attached to the aluminum base. I've looked high low and haven't found any youtube video. Am I supposed to use the paper clips? That doesn't seem like a good solution. I don't see any glue in the parts. All videos show the plate attached coming out of the box. What do I do with it?

Got it figured out, the comments on this site selling the super plate says to use the clips. I couldn't put them in the corners for obvious reasons (leveling), and I was worried the head would run over them when going corner to corner, but it raises enough to clear them. William also PM'd me to exclude those areas from being printed on. I'm now researching exactly how to do that, but I'm printing my first item, the sample dog from the SD card. Seems to be going well.

Hello, new to the forums here and new to 3d printing. I received the A10M Printer and the Superplate as a gift for Christmas. I so far have no issue printing on the supplied bed. But when I tried to attach the superplate and level it, the nozzle touches the bed even when the bed is at it's lowest setting. How do I raise the nozzle or lower the bed down further.

Hi,You can adjust the limit switch of the Z axis,
Then re-level the hot bed.

Hello,
I need to install the superplate to my A20M but I get some problems (there are no instructions that explain howe to do it) I suppose to use the clips but if I put them on lateral axis they go away during movement (they are pushed out by vertical support of Z axis) if I put them on the other axix the first 10 seconds of "test' extruding of each print push them out because this line of PLA is next to the corner... so I don't know how to install correctly the superglass plate....

Hi, you can place it on a hot bed, clamp the four corners with a pin, and then level it.

Hi William,
could you please define 'pin'. My Super Plate arrived with an adhesive back.
