New A10M display

Post by Chub » Sun Feb 17, 2019 6:31 am

Can someone please tell me where I can buy a new A10M display that has the flat (no connector) cable? My printer came with a screen that didn't work and when I contacted the supplier, they refunded me $15 I could buy the replacement. They don't answer where I can get one. Everything I see for the 2000A has connectos on the cables and board. My motherboard has the clamp down thingy's. Going crazy trying to find so I can finally start my machine up.

Thanks

Hello.

Can you show photos of the module after removing it from the metal bracket :?:

I think you should check the PSU and the motherboard at first.
Maybe you have a broken PSU (Try to check it's output with the multimeter,24V is ok)
Then you can attach the photos of the motherboard.
We will help to to check it.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)

My screen gets power just no display. Would that signal more motherboard than PSU? I am not strong with the multimeter. Where would my contact points be to test? I have attached a several photos. If there aren't 8 photos then please check the above response for the display photos. Not sure if there is a limit on how many photos can be attached.
Thank you all for taking a look and helping. Goin on two weeks since I received my printer. I should have spent the extra $70 and bought from Amazon so I could just send it back for a replacement.

Hi.

I can see that this is an improved version of my LCD module.
It's good.

The display (screen + controller) is integrated with this module.
Fortunately, the design is so versatile that it foresees the installation of a separate display with its controller.

At this point I would focus on starting your display.
You can always buy a new one, but is it necessary at the moment :?:

So far you have said that the display is not working.
Have you tried to carry out any diagnostics in this direction?

If you wish, we can try several tests to run or diagnose your display. ;)

If you think that you still prefer to buy a new display, we will choose something together. :D

I would love to get this one working. I have only the green backlight. No text. I am open to suggestions or tests. I am not strong with a multimeter but need to learn.
Owned this machine for two weeks and just want to complain about bed adhesion like others. Haha.
Yes, hit me with ideas.

I did try new cable, no luck. Since it is getting power for the light, I assume my PSU is good?? Do we suspect display board or motherboard not sending info over?

I've encountered a similar problem. The broken cable, motherboard bootloader broken,,.
Or just somewhere have a short circuit.
You can remove the motherboard off ,remove all cables,A4988.Then plug the PSU cable only then test it.

Hi

I have a supplementary question.
Are there two rows of dark rectangles visible :?:

If not, the contrast needs to be adjusted.

No rectangles. The green kind of flickers slightly.

Hi.
;)

In this case, I focus on power supply problems.

You said that you are not very proficient in using a multimeter. Can you measure voltage :?:

To do this, prepare the electronics for testing.

Place the controller board + display module in a safe place on your desk.
Use a cable to carefully connect these components.

In addition to this connection, connect only the main power supply to the controller board. Disconnect the rest of the cables. Also remove the stepstick modules.
Switch on the power supply. Observe the behaviour of the LEDs.

I am interested in indicating the voltage on the PSU module connector.
They should be measured in pads signed by Vss and Vdd.
The result should be stable and 5V DC.
;)

There is one detail that wonders me in your pictures, but I have to consult it with the GT team.
