Ok. Another question, if I have one or more stepper 1A is same as 0.4A. Yes I know is different, the power is greater on 1A, but on work? I think is the same, or 1A work better, if don't needed the amperage is less 1A?
I know is a stupid question, but I have on house 3 stepper, I don't know how is the amperage.

Hey ;)

If you have a motor with a nominal current of 1A, it should be controlled by such current.
Otherwise, it may operate in an uncertain or incorrect manner.

If you do not know the parameters of your motor, look for its designation on the corpus.
You will then be able to search for the data sheet.

Thanks to the stepstick modules it is possible to try to drive the engine experimentally.
It is necessary to adjust the Vref voltage in such a way that the motor operates reliably and does not get too hot. :roll:
This is not a good solution, but in certain situations it must be sufficient.

Maybe I explained myself wrong. I have already used steppers for other projects, I was just wondering if there are problems using 1A engines instead of 0.4A?

There should be no problems. Just such a motor has more power. ;) The problem would be an engine with too little power.

The popular stepstick (noname) modules on the A4988 chip can handle any motor that requires up to 1,0A. This depends on their hardware configuration.

We can read about the chip itself:
The A4988 is a complete microstepping motor driver with built-in translator for easy operation. It is designed to operate bipolar stepper motors in full-, half-, quarter-, eighth-, and sixteenth-step modes, with an output drive capacity of up to 35 V and ±2 A. The A4988 includes a fixed off-time current regulator which has the ability to operate in slow or mixed decay modes.
