Re: A10M upgrade to 2 extruder 2 nozzle setup

Hi all,
I know is an old thread but I just bump it looking for some other stuff.
Anyway, to everyone who asked if it was possible to do it, I make it happen.
So I originally bought an A10 (Single color/Single nozzle) due the nature of my studies I needed to create some more intricate parts and easy removable support was needed.
Therefore, I bought the necessary parts to make it happen.
♦ Chimera Hot end (coincidentally I bought the same they put in the initial of the post)

♦ Second Extruder board.

♦ Second Extruder connection cable.
(https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3297449 ... 4c4dct0DCN)
♦ Two Titan Extruder Sets “Clones".
(https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3294572 ... 4c4dct0DCN)
♦Nema 17 Stepper motor.
I locally bought it so no link anyway any stepper above 1.2 amps I think could work.
♦Second filament detector.
(https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3296191 ... 4c4dct0DCN)
♦ Extra Stepper Driver (I actually changes all of them to TCM 2208 due the headache the machine give me "to noisy for me")

So pretty much is straightforward connection and replacement of the parts.
Since the A10M shares the same heater cartridge for the both "Nozzles" for the A10M user I think you will need to buy two Extruder connection cables instead of only one, this is just a guessing (I don’t have a A10M to actually look the connections).
You will need to print a bracket to hold the second extruder board and to give enough clearance for the fan of the Chimera extruder, Also an adapter piece to secure the Chimera hot end to the X Metal carrier. and finally due the style of titan extruders i had to use an spacer in one of the to achive the orinetation I wanted.
Also some extra bolt and nut but that is up to you to get.
The printing area will be reduced to 220mm X 210mm due the use of this spacer/adapter.
You will need to modify the part-cooling duct (As you can see mine is glued with hot melt silicone due my laziness but hey, it works hahahah).
If anyone have more doubt or need the STL files for the adapters/Brackets or the Marlin Files , don’t hesitate to reply i will sent some how.
