A10 PRINTING ISSUES !!!

Post by Tyrant » Sun Aug 26, 2018 6:47 pm

Hi ,

after successfully been able to center the printer, ( Help from this forum :) ) now when i attempt to print the 1st layers seem to be all over the place , doesn't stick to the heat bed , and from looking at the nozzle , the filament doesn't seem to flow as well as it did with the first print i've done.

Prints now lift off the board very quickly during the print process ( before a first layer is complete) and the design doesn't seem to go as it should be.

can any one advise what i should be looking at to help get past this issue?

What kind of filament do you use?
On the forum I help to use the rod, I don't give fish.
Geeetech Prusa I3 M201 Dual extruder Mixcolor 3D printer, bought 2017-12-19, already built, in the cognitive and improvement phase
Geeetech filament, ABS only
Geeetech 3D WiFi Module for 3D Printer, bought 2018-04-15, He got a new life, and still lies in a drawer.

Please tell us what temperature value you have set for Hot end and Heat Bed.

:D
I will write you what you can try to do.

Increase the temperature of the work table (heat bed). However, I do not believe that this would be necessary.

Perform heat bed levelling with precision.
That's probably why your printouts don't succeed.
The gap between the nozzle and the surface of the work table must always be equal - at different points.
In addition, the first few layers should be printed slowly.

Try and write what you have achieved.
;)

First: _kaktus_ said: Heatbed leveling!!!
Second: Print the calibration cube you see as attachment. (Unzip file and save them onto the SD-Card, put them into the A10 and print)
don't change any internals into the gcode file please.

The 20x20x20mm cube made for A10 with a A10 profile into Cura. My own profile.
It is possible that your printer didn't print the cube into the middle of the bed! This ist okay.

Print them after correct leveling your heatbed and post the pictures from the cube please.

Try using skirt around print first. Skirt is several hoops to prime nozzle flow before starting print. Use 3, 4, 5 hoops...if you are not laying down good line by the end of skirt cancel print and try again with different settings. This way, you are not wasting plastic and getting frustrated with bad print...fix before you start print. :) Also, try higher temperature and lower speed for skirt and first layer...210 c head 70c bed 20mm/sec speed

Dear MichaelK,
I have the same problems of Tyrant...
I print your cube directly form SD card and this is the result... :(
I can not understand.
I printed the dog withe the blue PLA and all was ok.

All the others works are some the cube....
What could be? Any suggestion?
It's my first 3dprinter, and I want to destroy it...:)

Hi everyone!

I got some printing issues too.

The main problem is the random outlining if the y-axis.
There are nearly everytime i got a print over 2 hours the last layers out of line.

Atm its instand layershifting.

Allready solved the problem of underextrusion. At first i measured the amount of extrusion, while give the command to extrude 100mm. There the printer only extruded 90mm. After align the steps/mm for the extruder steper, there was no change in quality. I recognized the teflontube in the hotend wasnt fitted to the end. After deassembling, cleaning and refitting the tube. The results where way better.

Now is the problem with y-axis and not sticking together of inner and outer wall layers. There is allways a tiny gap between them.

I printed the cube from michaelk aswell and like u can see in the pictures, the letters x and y arent in the center. Dont know if this is supposed to be.

Would be very great to get some advices.

The picture below the testcubes is a print of the "AIO ALL IN ONE Test" https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2656594
There you can perfectly see the y axis problem i got atm.
