[URG] Nozzle heating problem

Yes, I followed the instruction using Arduino 101 and A10 firmware from this website.

Auto home:
Yes, it was acting like that before updating firmware.


I don't know what other problem this machine has. Honestly I am not trying to do anything else.

You are using the wrong firmware from a different printer.

To finde the correct firmware look here:

Take the A10 firmware. Different firmware are for different configurations. Runout sensor, Multicolor extruder .....

Thanks for the info. But, well... I am pretty sure that I used the right firmware.
Because, when my printer boots up, it says 'A10' and I downloaded A10 firmware, filename was 'A10' from this website.
Anyway...

I just visited the website and it is already versioned up to 1.1.9.
I will try with it. If it works fine, fingers crossed!!!

I just tested the firmware you provided at 'Thingiverse' and it works fine I guess.
Although all the menu was in German, I could translate with Google Translate.
It says....

heizen fehlgeschlage
drucker stopp
bitte resetten

which means....

heat failed
printer stop
please reset

Wow! Error report is perfect!! It is clearer that the extruder is not working well with heating.
By the way, do you have firmware in English?

For not heating problem, do you have a multimeter?
Try to test the voltage of the heating rod, when heating it should be 24V.
You can also check if the wiring of extruder/heating rod loose or damaged or any kind of poor connects, for example, the female interface of heating rod.

Z goes up:
Try to set factory default firstly.
If Z axis still goes up when homing after reinstalling the firmware, please let me know.

Could you work with the Arduino development software?
In the file "Configuration.h" you can find the language setting:

#define LCD_LANGUAGE de

Change them to "#define LCD_LANGUAGE en" (without the "") compile the firmware and bring them to the printer.

in a few days i will release the new 1.1.9 firmware for the A10, included Update from 1.1.8 to 1.1.9 and manual 9 Points Bedleveling with automatic Z Control at printing and english language.

Thanks a lot. I am trying to get a multimeter, but I don't have good knowledge about electricity and no experience.
I can't picture where I should point the multimeter sticks on.
Could you please explain with some photos or drawing?
And I tried to look more derail into extruder area, but I don't have the right size of hex key (allen wrench) for it.
Is it necessary to open extruder box to test?

Thanks a lot anyway. I am keeping in touch with a guy (Lei) in Geeetech.
He also suggested me to check with multimeter.
I don't know what to do now, except replacing extruder....

I heard that every 3D printer owners have frustration in the early stage like lots of printing failures, problems of leveling, Gcode configurations.... so on. But my problem is even worse, I guess...
