printed parts "welded" to the blue tape

Post by skypuppy » Wed May 02, 2018 9:44 pm

Am I doing something wrong, like maybe the bed is too close to the nozzle? The blue painters tape is very hard to clean off the newly printed parts, and of course the tape is ripped up when trying to remove the part from it. How do I clean the parts already printed and how do I stop this from happening???
Thanks for any help.

It is possible that the first layer is indeed too squished causing it to fuse to the tape. I would suggest getting a PEI sheet for easy maintenance and not having to worry about the aforementioned issue.

Increasing the Z offset to +0.9 pretty much fixed that problem. Don't know why it does that.
