Screen error

Post by AxeGrinder » Sat Apr 13, 2019 6:58 pm

Hi, this is my first post, so hello and thanks for this forum.

I built my i3B printer and everything seemed to be good untli the final phase of firmware install, since which, the LCD screen no longer illuminates or displays anything at all. It happened about one year ago, since which the machine has been idle and so I dont recall the exact details, but I think I may have been inttalling the Marlin firmware at the time.

My question is, could this be hardware error, such as a faulty controller or display unit? Also, is it possible to return the controller to its original state?
Do I need a new controller board or display, or is there something else I can try? Any help would be great?

I think you can refer to these:
1.Check the motherboard fuse it ok
2.Check the 5V for the LCD is ok
If you found the LCD won't work then you need to check the wires again(You can try to swap the LCD wires and SD card wires)
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)

Hi William, thanks for answer...
The wiring has never been changed since the screen was working, so I doubt it is wiring, but the fuse could need to be examined... How do I find it on
the board? (apologies, this should have appeared in the i3 proW forum, the board is GT2560)

I've checked your info and now I know what you want to ask.
