Pro i3 W with 3dTouch

Post by antonpeer » Sat Nov 03, 2018 12:36 am

Hello, i'm not able to configure my i3 W with the 3dTouch sensor.
The Test with the 3dTouch is OK, it means the pin moves sending the command
But
Configuring and uploading the firmware the troubles begin:
Autohoming x and y axis home but z axis goes upward only anytime i start the command it does so.
Sending command G29 it goes upward, tries to measure, next point goes upward and tries to measure and so on. Retrying it it goes only upward like descripted.
Trying to hame all it remains in the middle of z axis and shows Z0.

Does anybody have a working firmware including 3D Touch?

Hi William,

thank you for the Reply.

i tried this Firmware with no success, then i tried to modify the Firmware manually like described in Forum also with no success.

The Problem i have is, when i installed the Firmware and i home the axis x and y give no Trouble but the z-axis goes upward 3 times and then stops and reset the z to 0, if i repeat this step it continues to go upward and reset at that Position.

After that i'm not able do go down to the printerbed.

Doing a G29 it goes upward measures, goes upward and next postition and measures, goes upward next Position and measures and so on.

Thank you and greetings

I have the same problem,(I3 ProW GT2560A+ with 3dtouch.zip) your firmware does not work for 3dtouch or BLTouch (I have them both), you can solve it please.
question:
I have to give this command (Check the threaded rod of your printer(Especially I3 PRO X, I3 PRO W, I3 PRO B, I3 PRO C)
If your printer working with T8 threaded rody ou need to send Gcode"M92 Z400" via USB port.(When you upload the firmware finished)
Then you need to send Gcode"M500" to save the setting.
also with the firmware I3 ProW GT2560A+ with 3dtouch.zip?
thank you.

Hi I have the same problem, z axis keeps rising, unable to get the 3d touch to home properly.
Pro i3 W, latest firmware from here (pro w + 3d touch.zip). Normal threaded rods, GT2560 A+ board.

Has anyone actually got these to work with a pro w yet??

I think you should check the a4988 of the z axis at first.
If it allows, you can try to swap the a4988 then you can know the result
