Post by PlanBTC » Tue Nov 13, 2018 12:32 pm

I purchased this Rostock 301 3D printer after following the build instructions and switching it on for the first time the controller board fizzled and burnt. What could be the problem and thanks very much for the guide will read through so maybe I will get a better understanding.

Have you noticed whether any of the elements emitted smoke or got too hot :?:

Try to provide as much detail as possible about the defect.

The same happened to me the first time, when i turned on the power supply, after at 2 minutes it burned off.
I disassembled it, and i saw that 1 capacitor has conected wrong. i changed the 2 capacitors because the capacitors were damaged.

for you know if you have the same problem, you should will check the voltage. if the voltage is 0 the prolem is in the power supply, if not the problem is in another side.
