Help needed please.

I have an i3 b pro and for some reason everytime i try to test print the Z axis goes about 2cm above the bed and starts to go through the motions of printing. i have tried and failed several times to upload the firmware for the said machine with the bltouch i have and want to install, on the gt2560 A+ board. i have tried to upload through arduino and cura and also easyprint and they don't even find the downloaded firmware, i've managed to reinstall the firmware from geeetech hoping that would fix the problem, but it still tries to print 2 cm above and still cannot upload bltouch firmware.
any help would be appreciated.
