Hi!,
Today i tried printing something but my geeetech e180 wont turn on.
I have checked the transformer as well as the printer but cant find anything wrong with it. Im going to test it with a multimeter today.
Can somebody tell me where should i get the 12v reading? and can somebody tell me what PSU should i buy if it is deffective?
Thank you!

The seller is going to send me a replacement for the damaged transformer.

Same here. Without power, I hope that the replacement power supply is better.

OK that's weird - mine has done this exact same thing. I went to turn it on today for the first time in a few days and not a peep. I have also tried changing fuse, power lead etc. Not sure how to test anything else at the moment.
Strange that all these machines stopped working in the same week.
Also I popped the base plate off and found that one of the motor driver board heatsinks had been rattling around loose inside the machine - no idea how long for.

do you guys know if the problem is in the transformer or in the power supply unit?
Re: PROBLEM - E180 wont turn on!!
hi mine done the same. but my power brick was not 12v6a it was 12v8a. my power brick was melted a little and a substance was leaking out of it...
when I opened the power brick there was a large capacitor had popped and leaked. I think the substance melted the plastic as there was no sign of heat damage..
the problem I think was caused like most here.. I left it a week unused.. and it is strange that they all failed close to each other..
