HELP with my new E180, starts printing on Layer 75

Hi all

Bought my son an E180 for Xmas but for the life of me I cant get it to print from the base. We have tried numerous times to print the trial print on the card but every time we do it starts at layer 75. Before it starts to print it judders around quite a bit making a loud grinding noise. It has been levelled fine with a piece of A4 paper and the filament has gone through fine at the correct temp but it still wont work. I have now just tried a 27 layer print and it tried to start at layer 25.

Can someone please help us???
