Noisy brass threaded follower on Z axis

The brass nut follower on the Z rods squeal like a pig being murdered....i've tried oiling them...but still they scream....any way to stop this...?

do your rods all straight? and the two sides of the X axis, are they the same height to the bed? or it will be hard for the Z axis to move .

They roll without wobbling on a glass table....seems to be related to the metal holders...the might not be straight ...will disassemble and check...

A good teflon lube will help .

Rods are all straight just at one spot it howls....I am going to try putting a flat spot on the brass nut between it and the bearing and see it that helps with the alignment...it rubs hard against the bearing when putting it in place and before you tighten it down...as you tighten you can feel resistance...
