LCD2004 shows only 2 rows of blocks

Hello,

I recently purchased your i3 pro B kit from your geeetech-official eBay store.
After I assembled it, the printer works, but the LCD2004 shows only 2 rows of blocks as seen in the picture I made: https://goo.gl/photos/5SuCk6gBFTXT1zEv6



SD card works. Dial button also works - beeps when pressed and was able to home the printer by random rotation and press. Reset button also works.

...And yes, I made sure only discount smart controller is defined in configuration.h. And yes, I reflashed the firmware several times since it was not for my printer and all motors were reversed.

You mean you have wrong firmware?
You can try the right firmware to take a look:

No, I had the wrong firmware on my GT2560 board that came with my kit.
I have installed the right firmware after that, which is from this post: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17046 and the same as the one you listed.

Same here, but my display reset button doesnt do anything...
I´ve tried so many diffrent FW settings that im going crazy!!
I dont want to have the printer beside my computer all day, annoying bzzzz bzziii bzziuu bz bz

You can try the right firmware to take a look:

No, I had the wrong firmware on my GT2560 board that came with my kit.
I have installed the right firmware after that, which is from this post: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17046 and the same as the one you listed.

So the issue still there after uploading the right firmware?
Did you try swapping LCD and SD cable?
If so,you'd better check if your reset button was pushed down all the time incorrectly.
Then you can try unplugging all the cables on the board except LCD cable and power cable to see if there is a difference.

Instead of proposing "smart" nonsens, just tell the other "smart" guy that manages your official eBay account to send me a new display or refund me the price for it.

mirox, a usual answer from them, they really think everyone is a
retard, of course we try everything before we post questions here. but ok i will try disconnect everything except lcd and sd but i dont have high hopes.
my screen worked fine on a sanginoloilu mobo...

Geeetech sent a new LCD with cable and again does not work Even the SD card does work only when board powered only by USB cable. It seems issue is with GT2560 board...
Left them a negative feedback on eBay so that other customers consider before buying this rubbish kits.
