I need help to fix my mistake

Post by dav19e » Wed Nov 04, 2015 10:52 pm

Hi everyone,

Last night i was working on the final step of connecting all the wires to the control board (GT2560) but i have made a huge mistake and i wish you guys will be able to help me out.

I know that's really stupid but i got confused and thought i had to cut the wires in order to make the connection to the green terminal block connector.

Now i will need to buy 2x 2pin connector in order to fix it, i just really don't know how to make the proper connection from the wire itself to the 2pin connector both for the hot bed termistor and the extruder termistor.

I have took a picture so you guys know what i am exactly talking about.

hi,maybe you dont need to buy new connector.just plug the thermistor to the cutted 2 pin connector and let the metal carbonyl conducting layer inside insulation material touch it's sheetmetal.

Another way is to look after similar connectors from computer parts. There's a lot which are quite similar (e.g.: fans connector, inside a disassembled old PSU etc etc). If you look carefully, you will find out that connectors and wires attached to it can be disassembled without cutting anything.
