Reflashing firmware

Post by Neil » Tue Sep 03, 2019 10:33 pm

Ok so 2 years down the line my I3 pro B is nothing but a fancy paper weight its had issues since I built the damn thing but here goes with the latest lot

I need to re flash the firmware to the board.
Now i have a new computer so i downloaded the Arduino IDE and the firmware from geeetech.

So loading the INO file only loads the first page of script and leading each page of script results in the program not compiling properly.

Someone please help me out before I set fire to this printer and fix it permanently.

Thank you for the reply, I have flashed the firmware in the past, I've used the same cosd from geeetech and various Arduino IDE to do so, now all I get is a non compiling error. And I dont understand why.

I am at the point where I'm actually tempted to scrap this machine for parts. 2 years of problems have really shook my faith in geeetech printers and despite it being an expense I cant afford I am looking to go elsewhere for a machine.

Hi, If you can't use marlin firmware,
You can try to download the still compiled HEX format firmware on the official website.
you can refer to this;https://www.geeetech.com/download.html?download_id=34

Connect the printer to the firmware update via CURA slicing software.
You can use the settings-printer-manger printer

You can try not to download the latest version of cura to see if it works.

ok so after a new graphics card software and a lot of swearing I now have cura running, however when I got to update firmware it only gives me the option of using custom firmware which I do not know how to do on this program

any advice?

Hi, If you can't use cura,
The version using Arduino should be version 1.0.1,
According to your own motherboard type
Download the appropriate firmware: http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 20&t=17046

Can you provide a specific video?
So that we can solve the problem better.

ok thank you

I have successfully got the Arduino loader but now I have compiling errors that I have never had and I'm not sure how to fix.

In file included from /SdVolume.h:29,
from /SdBaseFile.h:31,
from /SdFile.h:27,
from Marlin.cpp:64:
/Sd2Card.h:32:20: error: SdInfo.h: No such file or directory
In file included from Marlin.cpp:33:
/Configuration.h:497: error: expected unqualified-id before numeric constant
In file included from /SdVolume.h:29,
from /SdBaseFile.h:31,

any clues how to fix these?
