Hotbed quit heating i201 printer

Post by Kimbleos » Tue Nov 22, 2016 12:35 am

My hotbed quit in the middle of a ABS print. The green connector the power wires are connected to was partially melted and the board is putting out no voltage to that connector when heat bed is suppose to be heating. Moved thermistor to nozzle position and it works ok to start the heating, so I have eliminated the thermistor as the problem. Can I move the thermistor to the T2 position and the power wires to the nozzle 2 position and solve my problem? The T1 and T2 as well as the Nozzle 1 and Nozzle 2 positions are not used at the present time. I just want to know if the voltage that heats the nozzle is the same voltage going to the heat bed?

Hi,
You can measure the voltage on the three ports(T_BED,T_E0,T_E1,T_E2) with a multimeter to see if there is a difference. The voltage should be 3.3V or so i guess.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)

It's the same voltage but different controller so it doesn't work. Ended up getting a new controller board.
