Hi, I ordered a gt2560 and hooked on to my laptop usb, I saw some led flashed once and then there's nothing. Even my laptop didn't show any new board connected, tried other port and still nothing. I still haven't hooked the board with the 12v psu then connect the board to my laptop usb yet.

But I wanted to know if this is a bad board considering I can't connect to the board to upload new firmware with just usb powering it?

if your cpmputer could not detect the usb device automatically, please install the usb driver manually. This is the link for intall the driver manually.

I believe I already installed the driver because I used arduino before on this pc as well as connecting my sanguinololu 1.3a board without any problems.

Even if the driver not installed yet, the pc would've notify me of the new driver installing and the led would light up, but this case the led just flashed once and never turn on, and no notification of the new driver found

I installed the driver, probably this is the second time, the board still the same, flashed once, and led stays dead, even my windows play a sound when device connected

hi,could you control the printer by LCD.if it does, the gt2560 is good.
Please unplug all electronic components on the board, then connect the empty board to you laptop.you check whether the computer could detect the usb device.
Please tell me the result when you do the above steps.

It is empty when I connect the board to the laptop and I didn't put the board on to my printer because something bad may happen if i didn't check the board with laptop first, just like my very first electronic, it fried because the board was faulty to begin with
