GPRS Shield Not Connecting to the Net

Hello-
I purchased 2 GPRS shields from GeeeTech and I have not been able to connect to the net with either of them. I have inserted active, valid SIM cards into them, but the GPRS shields are not connecting to the net. The green net light that is supposed to blink once every 3 seconds if it is connected to the net is blinking continuously for me. I used the same SIM card on a mobile device and I am able to send and receive calls and messages from it, so the SIM card is perfectly fine. Can you please help me fix this issue?
