Hi,
I wanted to know the voltage and current output of the extruder heaters and print bed heater on the GT2560 board. I wanted to know the voltage and current outputs when it is heating and when it is maintaining temperature.
Also, am I correct in assuming that the power output is naturally zero volts and zero amps when the heaters are not on?
Thank you for your time,
Kevin
GT2560 Heater Power Output
Re: GT2560 Heater Power Output
the voltage is 12V for the heaters and bed.And the PSU output will be constantly about 12V whether the heaters are on or off.
Re: GT2560 Heater Power Output
I have an I3X. The voltage from the PSU is around 10 volts. When I activate the bed heater, it goes down to 9 volts. Is this normal ?
The maximum temp I was able to reach was 75 C.
I tried a PC PSU. It maintains 12v in all situation, but the maximum temp I am getting is 108. And it takes more than 30 minutes to get there.
Is this normal ?
This i3x was bought in december.
Thanks!

this is normal,so you need to check your PSU output, did you swith it to the voltage in your own country, 220V or 110V? and if you have done this, how about rotate the trimpot on the PSU to adjust the voltage to about 12V? will it work?

Re: GT2560 Heater Power Output
Do we turn it clockwise or counterclockwise? And how do we tell that the voltage has changed?
Thanks
Thanks

Also, it's a constant 12V output, but what about the current output? How many amps when it's not heating, when it's heating, and when it's maintaining the heatbed temperature?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: GT2560 Heater Power Output
haven't measured the current before, but just make sure the output is 12V. And you need a multimeter and switch it to the DC 20V or 200V to test it.
