Re: Rostock 301, new firmware changelog
I'm trying to dig deeper on this to see if there is a way of using the G2s Pro or other code on my Rostock 301 to convert it to a dual extruder. It appears that the GTM32 Pro is based on the STM32 although it's not clear how closely they match. I see that there are Arduino IDE board files available ...

Re: Rostock 301 extruder motor not able to push filament
No. It pushes filament down the tube but fails when the filament reaches the hot end. It does not have enough force to push the filament through the hot end.

Re: Rostock 301 extruder motor not able to push filament
Thanks for the suggestion. The extruder pushes the filament perfectly until it reaches the hot end. All 3 extruders behave the same way.

Rostock 301 extruder motor not able to push filament
I finally installed metal extruders in my M301 along with a replacement hot end. Unfortunately the filament is not being pushed through the hot end sufficiently. I can hear the extruder clicking and see the gear not turning most of the time. At first I thought the problem was that the extruder gear ...

Simplify3d M301 Profile
Has anyone tweaked an M301 Profile in Simplify3D to improve quality? If so, would you please export your profile and post it here. Thanks.

Creating color files for dual or mixing extruders
I've been struggling for a while with how to create files that contain color information for my Rostock 301. It turns out that the answer was right in front of me the whole time! So I'm sharing this information just in case others are as confused as I was. Slic3r has a function called Modifiers that...

Settings and Control windows are too small
The windows that come up when the Settings and Control buttons are pressed are too small. The buttons at the bottom are almost completely cut off.

Can't select printer
Looks like a good start at an easy to use printer host/slicer. When I select a different printer in the config dialog, the selection keeps going back to the MeCreator 2 as soon as Apply or OK is pressed. Edit: it works when I "Run as Administrator". I think access is being denied to the Geeetech fol...

Re: Geeetech Rostock 301, résoudre, solve his problems !!!
I notice that some of the diamond hot ends have insulating material between the nozzle and the heat sink. I suppose this is to minimize the effect of radiated heat. Do you guys think that our hot end would benefit from this? I plan to pick up some silicone material,or just cut up a potholder, to try...

Happy Holidays!
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all! Printed an ornament with my M301. Starting to get some decent prints but getting lots of strings as shown in the second photo. First photo shows a quick effort at removing some of the strings. Printed at 190 deg except for a little near the bottom at 200 an...
