Hot end not maintaining temperature?

I posted a problem about my converted G2s stepper motor but now I'm thinking there may be another issue involved. To repeat my situation: "I just converted my M301 into a G2s Pro by obtaining the dual hot end, probe, cables and GT2560 controller but otherwise kept the parts from my M301, including t...

Extrusion stepper way off

I just converted my M301 into a G2s Pro by obtaining the dual hot end, probe, cables and GT2560 controller but otherwise kept the parts from my M301, including the extruders and steppers. Everything seems to be functioning as it should except for the length of filament being extruded or retracted. W...

Re: Rostock 301 extruder motor not able to push filament

Thanks for sharing your experience with the mixing hot end. I want to try it as well, but it seems like go big or go home - 3 colors. :-) How old was your filament? I found that pulling apart my entire hot end, trimmer the stop on the extruder, getting everything lined up and tightened right fixed ...

Re: Rostock 301 extruder motor not able to push filament

Although I have decided to convert my printer to a non-mixing hot end, just before doing this I did fix a problem that improved the extrusion somewhat. I disassembled the hot end and push a pin into the filament opening repeatedly after heating up the nozzle. Eventually, some contaminated material c...

Re: Rostock 301: homing problems

You likely have a problem caused by a bug in the firmware, although you should be seeing one tower at a time homing rather than z and y together so I am not completely sure. In any event, Repetier-Host and other programs as well send the x,y and z flags with the G28 homing command. Delta printers ar...

Re: Rostock 301 Layer fan

Hi raoulito9, Thanks for the fan support you posted on Thingiverse. I commented there as follows: Thanks for the good design but I have some problems. The fan sticks out far enough that it hits the tower rods on larger prints. If I adjust it straighter down, it hits the bed. It also hits the diagona...

New version has the same bugs

Why would you post a new version for public test without fixing the bugs that make the program unusable? This wastes our time.

Thanks.
Unfortunately no, and it's unclear if Geeetech will ever release it. Really limits the value of the printer since there will be no 3rd part improvements and bug fixes.

Re: Rostock 301 extruder motor not able to push filament

I have tried voltages from .55v to about 1.1v which is as high as it will go. The jump sound is a little louder at higher voltages but it does not have much effect.

Re: Rostock 301 extruder motor not able to push filament

Thank you for more suggestions, René. I checked if the filament was oval. It was deformed a little which caused a little resistance in the tube. However, when I cut off the deformed part and the little resistance went away, it did not help the filament go through the hot end. The resistance of the h...
