Re: Extruder and bed are not heating up enough

Hi Jon, So you've written the gcode to the sd card in your computer... You've transferred the card and placed it in the SD card slot on the printer... The printer can see that the card is inserted... Now, do yourself a favour and DISCONNECT the printer from the computer. You're NOT going to print fr...

Re: Can I do Timelapse by using EasyPrint 3D?

Hi Nasir, I have produced quite a few timelapse videos - though I confess I've never taken one of my 3D printer... Not a bad call, it may be interesting. Let's say I was making a timelapse of my printer making a 'Benchy' boat. (Chosen as just about everyone has seen and has access to this model) Now...

Re: DIY KIT Model confirmation

Hi Natasha, I'm guessing you acquired this Kit ready built and wish to upload software for the first time ? - I can't think of a firmware 'Upgrade' you'd do if it were printing was working and you've not added anything. So William says the Pro B firmware is fine for your machine - It looks nothing l...

Re: A strange problem

Hi, I can confirm then when you switch on the power to your printer... ( Make sure you don't just 'Think' it's turned on because it is connected to a computer via USB ! ) Disconnect from the computer to make sure... Yes, the fans should be turning - they're quite loud in my quiet office ! You are NO...

Re: 3D Touch G29 Issues

Hi Jamie, Sounds odd that the G29 command fails having correctly probed the first two points, you'd think it would plough into the bed on the first point or not at all ! What 'Version' of Marlin 1.1.9 did you try to use ? I used this one with my BL Touch and it worked first time... https://www.geeet...

Re: Extruder and bed are not heating up enough

Hi Jon, I've never had a problem getting an sd card to be read correctly - but I know some people have had a problem. "It's in the slot but nothing happens"... Well, nothing WILL happen unless you ask the printer to do something ! Have you attempted to read the card ? - You don't say what you've tri...

Re: Extruder and bed are not heating up enough

Hi Jon, I must admit I've never used Repetier as my slicing program - I've just had a play with it, (Since writing the last post) ...but I didn't like it ! I use either Slic3r PE (Version for Prusa printers - it's free) Or Cura 4.1 (Also free) I find these can both save to an SD card in my computer ...

Re: Extruder and bed are not heating up enough

Hi Jon, As William says... Try using the SD card to hold your gcode. I've NEVER actually printed directly via the computer... I always save my gcode to an SD card... I then put the SD card into the printer and print from that. I only use repetier to control the printer when I'm moving the bed around...

Re: Extruder and bed are not heating up enough

Hi Jon, "Not heating up enough" ?? - Sounds like your extruder nozzle isn't heating up at all ! So let's forget sending instructions from the computer for a moment... (In case Repetier not working correctly) What happens if you just use the printer ? ... Click in the button and scroll down to 'Prepa...

Re: Z axis stuck

Hi Jon,
Great !
I guess they were previously slightly off on being square...
Happy printing.
(It's time to try calibrating now !)
