Re: Réglages Cura avec Geeetech I3 Pro B

Hi Marc, I always print from the SD card, I connect the printer to the computer only when I have to. Cura is a great program. Personally. I find it better than Repetier Host, I can't see a reason why using Repetier would help things ?.. Did you use Cura to slice the models you have shown here ? Are ...

Re: Not sure where to start!

Hi AndyJUK, So this printer is not going to compete with the ender 5, but it should be able to make some nice prints for you. No, there's no specific profile for the i3 pro within Cura, but I have played with the settings and have mine printing PETG with Cura sliced models just fine. It would help i...

Re: Mounting blower fan (nozzle position)

Hi Darkmind, You may find you have to take off the heater block quite a few times over the life of the printer... Actually, mine is off at the moment as I destroyed the throat tube PTFE liner the other day and I'm awaiting a spare tube... I was playing with the idea of running two fans, each cooling...

Re: Mounting blower fan (nozzle position)

Hi, When I first printed a blower housing downloaded from Thingiverse, I discovered that my machine also had the heater block too far out to the left with the wires coming out of the front... I was new to the Geeetech printer and assumed that was just the way the extruder was now shipped... I left t...

Re: Newbie in problems

Hi Randy, Chicago eh ? - It's been a long time since I went there, it's a long way from Manchester UK ! So choice of machine ??? Firstly, I'd say get one that works - first and foremost it must work - you must know how to drive it... It may be easy to say buy one that's pre-built... BUT, I fully und...

Re: the extruder hiccup

You don't mention print speed... Most claims you see are optimistic. Slow your prints down - a lot - say to 60% of what they are now. If everything seems to be working better, then that could be the issue. (Then slowly increase speeds until the clicking sounds starts - when you slow it down a little...

Re: Recurring begining failure

Hi Soadyhide, You're welcome ! I would add that I print using a 0.4mm nozzle, the printer was first built using the supplied 0.3mm, but changing it (Very cheap via ebay) has proven to be beneficial. The blue masking tape I use is 3M masking tape, 50mm wide so 4 strips placed across the bed is enough...

Re: Broken extruder

If you take your existing plastic extruder off the printer carriage, split it apart and look at the bits...
You'll see that this has all the same components, but in Aluminium.
Just don't use a filament guide on the bottom...

Re: rare impression

Hi Lukorely, Generally when you print an xyz calibration tube, then you'll find in the instructions how to use that cube to calibrate/change your axis step settings - which, looking at the photo would seem to be way off ! The dimensions are nothing really to do with the ' Extrusion ' calibration - s...

Re: Broken extruder

Hi SteveA, I'll make a guess that you have a Geeetech Pro B printer... They generally come with a 'Mk8' style extruder - found very cheap on ebay... Something like this ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ender-3-Metal-Extruder-MK8-CR-10-10S-Upgrade-Fit-All-Creality-3D-Printer-Part-UK/163926371526?hash=ite...
