Not really..it was far less than without...any way I upgraded to the aluminum guide and bearing set...it stopped the premature belt wear and hence any stretching...and I got rid of the spring...and the blue belt holder and made a metal one...

Is there any explanation for why the 301 retracts more filament than it extrudes...i have measured it and its 3 times the amount extrusion advance verses the retraction...the filament is half way up the tube before it starts the extrusion push again....very frustrating....is this in the firmware?......

Firmware uploaded after a while...printer now is attempting to print....having trouble with the head height from heat bed adjustment....also a disturbing fact is that the head goes crashing into the heat bed when you turn the power off...

I have found the firm ware up grade via the "users Manual"....once I have all that installed ... it may fix the problem, if not...I will be back.

Any firmware available for this yet just bought one and all components work, but it can not find the heat bed, and only makes creepy spidery moves and squirts filament...

Is there anything yet for the Rostock 301..just got it and it wont do anything but a bunch o creepy spider moves....it extrudes on command but doesn't know where the print plate is...

Belt tension

I would recommend a longer screw and a spring and washer under the wing nut of both the X and Y axis tensioners...just a observasion. you really don't want to have the belt stretch...as it changes the length of the belt...distorting you print. causes jumping if to slack and stiffness in the movement...

On the M201 printer...there is a annoying process that it does before printing, that doesn't occur on the Pro C...it runs through the entire code before it prints....on the Pro C...I load the G code...and it prints...then echoes back what its doing...with the M201...the entire code is echoed in the ...
