Re: Extruder not feeding enough plastic

I replaced the thermistor and everything is working again. I'm not sure why the temperature took so long to read incorrectly. I had already been having trouble for a week at that point. Perhaps it was failing a little at a time. Anyhow, it works now so thank you for your advice.

Re: Extruder not feeding enough plastic

The teflon tube is as it should be. I don't see any issue there.
I have a new symptom though. The temperature reading had been normal so far but now it is reading very low. I'm sure my printer is not near freezing. Does this mean i need to order a temperature sensor?

Re: Extruder not feeding enough plastic

I am certain that I have a good motor. I have used 2 different motors and they both act the same. I don't have another computer board that I can try so that is out. I tried turning down the print speed and it improved the problem. I turned it down more and when I reached 60% speed the problem stoppe...

Extruder not feeding enough plastic

Greetings, I have been printing with my Mecreator2 for about 5 months now and it has been a great machine. The last few days i started hearing clicking from the extruder motor when printing. The printer was no longer feeding a sufficient amount of plastic. prints were coming out with layers that cou...

Re: Can Mecreator 2 print nylon

i am proposing to replace the plastic lined hot end tube with an all metal one. If there a part available to do this? As I understand it, this is necessary to print higher heat nylon.

Can Mecreator 2 print nylon

I understand that the Mecreator2 cannot print nylon out of the box. However, it looks like you would only need to upgrade the plastic lined hotend tube with an all metal one. Is there an all metal tube available for the Mecreator 2? Would there be any other considerations for printing nylon after th...

Re: LCD went out

Which two wires in the picture lead to the heating element on the extruder? I want to test the resistance of the extruder heating element but i cannot figure which two wires go to it.

Re: LCD went out

I took the tiny 10A fuse out of the board and tested it with a multimeter. it failed. the 15A fuse passed the test does the 10A fuse have something to do with the screen? does the 10A fuse send power to the extruder? if the 10A runs the screen and/or extruder then this must be my problem. hopefully ...

Re: LCD went out

I tried plugging in the USB to my PC and the LCD powers on. It looks like the power supply really isnt supplying power even though the power light comes on. It even has enough power to heat the bed. but the usb cant supply enough power to heat the extruder more then a few degrees. Seems like i need ...
