Re: New printer, dead power supply?

Thanks again! I've filed a ticket with GearBest to get it resolved. Hopefully the resolution will be to just get a new PSU (as opposed to me having to re-package the entire printer and send it back in... in which case it may just be less of a headache for me to eat the $20 I spent on Amazon for a ne...

Re: New printer, dead power supply?

Good news! I had ordered an identical power supply on Amazon (anticipating that it might take a while to get a resolution through GearBest) which also arrived today. Hooked it up and my printer is now running. Time to get printing! Thanks again for the assistance!

Re: New printer, dead power supply?

Can you please confirm what you are referring to as the low voltage cable?

I'm assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that I don't need to actually have the PSU plugged into the printer itself to be able to test the output voltage from the power supply.

Re: New printer, dead power supply?

Multimeter acquired and measurements taken on both input and output (see pictures below). So unless I'm doing this wrong (I followed instructions best I could, but it's my first time using a multimeter), the PSU is truly dead. I guess now I need to send this off to GearBest and get a replacement... ...

Re: New printer, dead power supply?

Everything is hooked up according to the guide provided in the box. That said, I have a multimeter on the way from Amazon to dig in a little further.

Assuming that it does turn out to be a faulty power supply, will I need to resolve that with the retailer or Geeetech directly?

Re: New printer, dead power supply?

Unfortunately, I don't have a multimeter. I did check the fuse and it looked fine. I also checked the connections to the board and everything looked good there, as well. I have the 110/230V switch flipped to 110v, as that is standard in the United States. If the printer won't work at 110v, then clea...

New printer, dead power supply?

I was very excited to receive my A10 (my first 3D printer) today and get printing! I got everything put together and hooked up, according to the directions. I plugged it in, flipped the power switch (which then lit up)... and nothing else happened. My best guess is that the power supply is dead-on-a...
