Re: A10 Temperatures are reading very high
I found mine doing this in the middle of a print resulting in a MAX TEMP displaying on the screen and the print failing. The only way I could clear the max temp was to turn the printer off and back on (Shades of the IT Crowd). Anyway I found my printer has a loose connection such that when I move th...

Re: Max Temp error
I get this too and the only way I have been able to clear it is to cycle the power. I figured out that the Molex connector in the back of the printer is the culprit. When I am printing, I noticed temperatures fluctuating greatly. Wiggling this fixes it if I catch it before MAX TEMP is reached.

OK, sorry I am impatient! I will wait. The old firmware seems to be working fine for me.

Re: Geeetech A10 firmware Marlin 1.1.9
Thanks! I have not checked calibration through the feeder, but I had one of those machines where the set screws were loose and I had to take feeder apart to fix. After doing that, I realized that this is probably going to be the first part to fail and printed a replacement just in case. Mine seems t...

Re: Geeetech A10 firmware Marlin 1.1.9
Thanks for the reply Skroos...I am getting some stringing with the nozzle temp at 190 (PLA). I believe I have extraction set on, but would have to check. I do know that the fan is set to be off initially, then ramp up to 100% at about 5mm. I guess that is not working well. Maybe I should flash firmw...

Re: new version of the firmware - autumn 2018
What does the new firmware contain? Bug fixes? enhancements? Are there "Release Notes"?

Re: Extruder Jam and Resolution - Geeetech should note
I would recommend trying an Extruder Feeder for MK8 on Thingiverse. That way you can print the spare parts. There are several iterations. I selected one close to the original with only two pieces and printed that. It is sitting as a spare for the moment.

Re: Geeetech A10 firmware Marlin 1.1.9
OK, so I am a 3D Newbie with a shiny new Geeetech A10. It has Marlin version 1.0.4 on it and seems to work OK. What does flashing to 1.1.9 gain for me?
Thanks,
Pat.

Re: PLA extrusion
Oh, the screw by the spring would allow you to adjust the spring tension. Should make the feed more controllable.
