Re: Wifi Button - nothing happens

WiFi was removed as a built in option on the E180 at some stage, I have in it mine but I had bought an older unit which was refurbished. It isn't all that useful anyway as the E180 profile in the smart phone version of easyprint doesn't work very well.

E180 firmware bug

Discovered a bug in V1.32.41 while trying to improve quality of benchie printing. The chimney is very messy as the fan doesn't cool enough so I used Cura to specify a minimum layer time which it does by inserting G4 P commands. These just seem to crash the printer and it sits oozing fliamnet until p...

Re: Firmware upgrade prevents saving of leveling settings (v1.26.36)

Try it again on both files with the TF card in the slot. Looks like its only done part of the update if you aren't getting the right version reported.

Re: Max Print Size

It loses about 40mm either end because of the way the Y belt is attached, with the printer off move the bed manually as far as it will travel then look at where the nozzle lines up to.

Re: Firmware upgrade prevents saving of leveling settings (v1.26.36)

I’ve recently updated my E180 firmware using the provided Toolkit. The printer status now reports 1.29.36 however EasyPrint3d still reports v1.00.36 Seems not the leveling is not being saved, and each time easyprint connects (causing reboot of printer) the leveling is reset back to default. Is this...

Re: Strange behaviour with this gcode.

I spoke too soon, the print still fails, but at a different point now. Right after the top of the wheel prints the extruder reverses direction and start printing in the air at some stage after that. I have now got two very nicely printed bottom halfs of a benchy. I'll try tomorrow with a different m...

Re: Strange behaviour with this gcode.

Firmware 1.32.41 seems to have fixed the problem, bit tricky locating it though, there seems to be quite a few different firmware guides. Perhaps an admin could go through them all pointing to the latest version?

Strange behaviour with this gcode.

When I try to print the attached benchy on my E180 it fails after the first or second layer of the deck. Not only does it fail it makes the pringter go mad pushing the build plate to the maximum and banging the hotend assembly of the print tower. Benchy was created with Cura 3.4.1 using the attached...

Re: Shifting the layers

Check the rollers holding the build platform. Mine was doing the same and I fixed it by loosining the screw on one of the rollers which wasnt freely turning. The motor is strong enough to overcome the friction of the roller but will occasionally skip whih causes the layer shift. To fix you need to r...

Suggestion for E180 manufacture

I just got an E180 through from Amazon which Arron kindly let me have for review. I'm still in the process of testing it out but a big problem almost made me give it a very bad review. For my first few test prints I was getting random skipping in the Y axis. It seemed to be happening at different pl...
