I had exactly the same problem. Luckily, I had an M3 thread cutter, so I fixed it myself.
I wish that was the bigest problem with this crappy printer! It's been over two months that I own it, and still couldn't print anything.

That's a pity... will have to reverse engineer it then (or just buy an open-source firmware compatible control board).

Something like JIRA or at least RedMine, Mantis or BugZilla would be very useful considering the enormous amount of silly childish bugs in the Rostock 301 firmware.
