Re: A30 HotEnd Fan wiring?

Did you ever get this sorted. I am in the same process of installing a SKR 1.1. The motors and endstops were OK to sort and put new connectors on but the head extruder board has me scratching my head. Plus I am unsure what wires go where from the filament detector. I will have a little break on here...

Re: Mind of it's own.

Many thanks William for your quick reply. I shall try as you suggested. It is most likely a blown board and there was a short in the heater cartridge on the hotend. This blew the power supply (some transistors and resistors were destroyed!). So it is likely that some damaged occurred on the motherbo...

Re: A30 heated bed stuck on

I have the same problem!
The heated bed comes on when power is applied. Also when I turn on the nozzle via the screen, I can't then switch it off.
I am running firmware version 1.59

Mind of it's own.

I bought an A30 that had a faulty 12v power supply. I installed a 24v supply and used buck converters for the fans and the mosfet. The firmware installed is v1.59, if I remember rightly. When I tried moving the z+ axis, via the GUI, the x+ axis moved. When I tried to move the x axis, the motor just ...

Re: Heated bed - change of voltage from 12v to 24v.

Try as I might I could not reveal a gap in the solder. So I bit the bullet and used a fine nail file to take off the remainder solder. I then found that the what I thought was supposed to be two solder pads turned out to be 1 big solder pad that joined two traces together. (Please see photo.). When ...

Re: Heated bed - change of voltage from 12v to 24v.

here is a photo of what the board looks like now. It is for 24v usage.
There are no pads under the number three, so I have assumed the pad nearest the number 3 is the correct one for the negative lead.

Heated bed - change of voltage from 12v to 24v.

I am rewiring my heated bed to take 24v. I cannot seem to clean up position 1s solder pads. From diagrams I can see that the solder point 1 had two solder pads. Mine seem to be fused together. I have tried loads of liquid flux with solder wick, adding more solder and I just can't seem to part the pa...

Re: Downside to running fans from a buck converter? 24V Upgrade

Added another buck converter. The fan seems to be going just as fast. I have now ordered a new hopefully quieter fan.
