I believe you have proven the 4988 board defective. I would suggest that depending on age, Geeetech should replace it under warranty, however, if you are wanting to do something with it in a hurry, Amazon is your friend, just check shipping options so you know if you will have it in 2 days, 2 weeks,...

I found that by disassembling mine, and turning the bolt with the teflon liner end for end, so the end with teflon flush at the end mated to extruder tip, there was no cavity for filament to deform. Also made for reloading easier, as steps were smaller that the filament encountered while being pushe...

I have now read, I think, pretty much every thread in existence about bed leveling for the dual extruders, and I see a very critical step that is never mentioned. John, a couple things to check: firstly, did you ensure that your power supply is indeed set to the correct voltage?
