Re: Extruder not working

Hi Mark I have re-uploaded the firmware however it made no difference to the heating of the extruder, it still only reached 93. Attached is a picture. I have spent so much time trying to solve such an issue. All steppers work, so all i can say it is either, The PSU, the mainboard, the heatbet thermi...

Re: MK2a thermistor of heatbed resistance?

I actually already replaced the board, in a prior discussion with yourself we concluded that was the problem, i contacted support and they sent a new board, which is now fitted. Could there be something in the Power supply unit giving such an issue??

Re: Extruder not working

I have followed the instructions to the best of my ability and believe that I have covered the things that appear necessary. I can only think to try a firmware update (did one about 2 months ago) and see if that changes anything. I feel like I can't check anymore than I have. For that matter could t...

Re: MK2a thermistor of heatbed resistance?

From what I understand other functions are working. For example I can load a stl. file and use rep host to generate the path (g code) and it runs pretty much how it should (that is after I remove in the Gcode editor the heating function section. So basically it does most things but extrude. By mainb...

Re: Extruder Not Working, Prusa I3 Aluminium

I checked the voltage at idle (just switching the printer on without trying to do anything or plug laptop in) and i get 4.7V If i then plug the laptop in and turn only the headbed on the voltage begins to drop as the heatbed temperatire increases (by touch i can tell the heatbed is heating up). I al...

Re: Extruder not working

Hi Mark I have checked the resistance in both the extruder and heatbed and all agrees with your test. With the exception that when i turn on the printer the thermistor for the headbed appears to be no good. It reads 45/0 when at idle, then when i plug laptop in via usb port and turn on the extruder ...

Re: Control board Fan not turning ON

I plugged the fan into the working extruder connection and the fann for the board came on. So I now need to determine 12v supply and ground

Re: MK2a thermistor of heatbed resistance?

I am of the belief that it is correctly wired. Can you confirm the resistance of the thermistor for the headbed?
